Bustle and caw. Recall the green heat
rising from the new minted earth, granite
and basalt, proto-continents shuffling
and stacking the deck, first shadows flung

Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D.: Our Lady of Guadalupe: The Path of the Broken Heart: "Coda: Mi Guadalupe is a
Girl Gang Leader in Heaven
Mi Guadalupe is a girl gang leader in Heaven.
She is unlike the pale blue serene woman.
She is serene, yes, like a great ocean is serene.
She is obedient, yes, like the sunrise
is obedient to the horizon line.
She is sweet, yes,
Like a huge forest of sweet maple trees.
She has a great heart, vast holiness,
and like any girl gang leader ought,
substantial hips.
Her lap is big enough
to hold every last one of us.
Her embrace
can hold us,
All . . .
And with Such Immaculate Love.
"Aymen
(as my grandmother would say),
and a little woman.""

A Psalm of Life- Poets.org - Poetry, Poems, Bios & More: "A Psalm of Life
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
What the Heart of the Young Man Said to the Psalmist
Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
"Life is but an empty dream!"
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

In Life and News: Ah, Leviticus, What Do You Mean?
In Life and News: Ah, Leviticus, What Do You Mean?: "Leviticus 18:22 seems to be the key verse that is used to condemn gays and lesbians to the eternal fiery pits of hell by anyone who opposes homosexuality. It still amazes me that this verse is different depending on which translation is used. The King James Version of this verse states, “Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is an abomination.”
At face value it would seem that only men can not engage in homosexual activity. Then we have the New International Version: “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.” Again, it’s a 'no-no' for you men out there! There are many different translations, but I present to you the New Living Translation: “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.”

Emily Dickinson Delight Becomes Pictorial
Emily Dickinson Delight Becomes Pictorial: "Delight becomes pictorial
When viewed through pain,--
More fair, because impossible
That any gain.
The mountaln at a given distance
In amber lies;
Approached, the amber flits a little,--
And that's the skies!
