David’s tree story « Treewhispers
2 Growing up in Northfield, we had two trees in the
3 front yard that were probably 50 yards apart. And my
4 father — I had two brothers. My father had the idea
5 of putting a rope high between the two trees and
6 fixing a pulley system with a rope and a round seat.
7 And then he took a — probably a one-story ladder,
8 leaned it up against the higher tree, and you could
9 take the swing up with you, put the round swing
10 between your legs and glide down between the trees.
11 And so that was our own little amusement park in the
12 front yard
13 Anyone ever get hurt?
14 No. No one ever got hurt surprisingly. We even got
15 creative in the fall. We would rake the leaves and
16 then burn them. And then of course you’d go over
17 them — not flaming, but smoldering. Do something
18 kind of daring.
19 But the trees weren’t, you know, extremely mature.
20 And now I drive by the house in Northfield and
21 they’re fortunately still there. But they’re very
22 mature.
23 Did you bend them?
24 No, they were quite strong when we had them. But the"

And goes down burning into the gulf below,
No voice in nature is heard to cry aloud
At what has happened. Birds, at least must know
It is the change to darkness in the sky.
Murmuring something quiet in her breast,
One bird begins to close a faded eye;
Or overtaken too far from his nest,
Hurrying low above the grove, some waif
Swoops just in time to his remembered tree.
At most he thinks or twitters softly, 'Safe!
Now let the night be dark for all of me.
Let the night be too dark for me to see
Into the future. Let what will be, be.'"

touch you
I could touch you
like they used to.
To know just
which way
dreams lutaš
seeking love,
I should find you,
I could touch you,
as then ...
That just can range,
in vain pruzam
wings introduced
this cover
does not understand happiness.
I could touch as well
as a wish,
I know you want me
and watching me
some thoughts
if anyone has
it and utes.
At this point
the other
end of her yearning
I'm alone.
And I could touch you
like a dream,
to calm your breath,
your lips to fascinate
and stable and hands
asking only
to be firmly stegneš,
that we just say
that everything is gone.
I could touch and
smell like
when you walk the field,
when it nadjes
a small world.
And then
when everything is gone,
yet You feel
the smell of wild flowers,
yet you're always there
still watching me ...
and I touched
his words
did not al all,
no, not even the end,
you still are waiting.

Ne trudi se da shvatiš, nikad nećeš moći
čudna je to igra

Ja sam žena
Žena što voli
Žena od suza
Strasti i boli
Ja sam žena
Žena od tuge
Žena što ljubi
Žena k'o druge

Ne žuri se da saznaš što je bilo jučer

Rosh Hashanah
September 28, 2011
Dear Friend of Israel,With all that's been going on at the U.N. over the past weeks, Rosh Hashanah(the Jewish New Year), which begins tonight at sundown, seems especially well timed this year. It's a time when the Jewish people recognize God's dominion over the world. As leaders at the U.N. have been discussing the possibility of a Palestinian state, which would seriously jeopardize Israeli security, we need this reminder about God's sovereignty now more than ever.
Though the traditional New Year is a time of frivolity, the Jewish New Year is much more somber. Jewish tradition teaches that, beginning on Rosh Hashanah, God judges the entire world and all its inhabitants, determining their fate for the year to come. Ten days after Rosh Hashanah is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This sacred time is known as the High Holy Days, or Ten Days of Repentance.
Jewish sages teach that our fates are "written" as God judges the world on Rosh Hashanah, and "sealed" on Yom Kippur. We know that we are judged by our actions during the course of the whole year, but just as one would be that much more careful while sitting in a courtroom in front of the presiding judge, we know that now is our last chance to make good before the King of Kings, the Judge of Judges.
And, of course, this spirit of humility and reconciliation is to follow us throughout the year, throughout our lives. The High Holy Days are when we have the most power to transform ourselves and channel our abilities and resources to serve God.
As we approach this sacred time, it is with deep gratitude that I thank you for enabling The Fellowship to bring dignity and joy to some of the most vulnerable among God's people. Over the past few weeks, The Fellowship distributed basic food staples and special holiday foods to thousands of hungry Jewish people in the former Soviet Union and Israel. This humanitarian effort was made possible only by the grace of God and the generosity of The Fellowship's donors, who care so deeply about Israel and the Jewish people. It is deeply humbling — and inspiring — to be a part of such loving kindness.
Whether you are Christian or Jewish, may these days bring you the bounty of God's blessing. May the spirit of generosity and loving kindness that you have consistently shown to the people of Israel be noted by our compassionate and sovereign God — and may the entire world be blessed with His most precious gift of shalom, peace.
S'halom alechem!

The Songs of Bilitis: II. Elegies At Mytilene: Tenderness
Today you shall fondle me, little sister; 'tis your turn. Remember the caresses that I taught you last night, and kneel beside me who am tired, and do not say a word.
Your lips sink from my lips. And all your unbound ringlets follow them, as the caress follows fast upon the kiss. They fall upon my left breast; they hide your eyes from me.
Give me your hand, it is so warm! Press mine and do not leave it. Hands join with hands more easily than mouth with mouth, and nothing can compare with their passion."

The Songs of Bilitis: II. Elegies At Mytilene: Desire
'via Blog this' She entered, and passionately, with half-closed eyes, she joined her lips with mine, and our tongues knew each other. . . Never in my life had there been a kiss like that.
She stood against me, amorous and willing. Little by little my knee rose between her warm thighs, which spread as though receptive to a lover.
My wandering hand upon her gown sought her secret body, which alternately swayed in undulation, or arching, stiffened with tremblings of the skin.
With maddened eyes she looked upon the bed; but we had no right to love before the wedding, and we separated hastily at last.

Its winding ways, with many snares beset!
Yet crowds of eager pilgrims onward throng
And fall like doves into the fowler's net.
Now tell me what the grain that drew the dove?
The mole it was upon a cheek so fair.
Tell me of what was wove the net of love?
The wandering curls of the Beloved's hair.
The festival of love is holden here,
The goblet passes; drink thou of this wine,
Yea, drain it to the lees, and never fear
Intoxication that is all divine....
But Makhfi, tell me where the feast is made?
Where are the merry-makers? Lo, apart,
Here in my soul the feast of God is laid,
Within the hidden chambers of my heart. [V: pp.31-32]"

What you do, may you do and not stop.
But with swift pace, light step, unswerving feet,
so that even your steps stir up no dust,
may you go forward
securely, joyfully, and swiftly,

believing nothing,
agreeing with nothing
that would dissuade you from this commitment
or place a stumbling block for you on the way,
so that nothing prevents you from offering
your vows to the Most High in the perfection
to which the Spirit of the Lord has called you."

About Love
The love that comes from the inside is free, powerful and does not require anything from anybody. We love because we feel the love. This is the prize. If the love is projected onto an object that is to be desired, then it becomes narcissistic. We want the thing for ourselves and in terms of our own agenda. Maybe we want to feel good, to avoid our shame, our pain, our insecurity. Maybe we want to make others responsible for all the things we are not facing because we cannot get the love.
In the end, we are bereft.
When someone loves us but only to meet his/her own needs, then there is an agenda attached to that love. It is not unconditional. This is projected love. An example is parents with an only child. They may want their child to do and be everything they could not do or be themselves. This is narcissistic love. They love the child, but only in terms of their own needs.
There is a love that transcends need, narcissism, abuse. The love that comes from the inside allows us to love without that narcissistic need. This does not exclude relationship, need for others, marriage, and so on. It does mean, however, that there is a love that does not use us. There is a purer form of love that is embodied by the Archetypes, by the inner world or spirit. We recognize and know somewhere inside that this love does exist. We just cannot find it because we keep looking for it outside. True spiritual, enlightened souls have the love from the inside. These are the ones we look to as teachers.
We are afraid of falling in love because love actually has a dark side. Once we are in love, we are chained to each other’s pathology. It is like we have to take care of each other in a way that is dishonest. Falling in love can be tremendously bad unless both people have tremendous integrity and bring to the relationship their own sense of being loved by the Divine. From this place of being loved, we have something to offer to the other person. To the degree that we do not have the place of being loved, we have nothing to offer but a black hole of need and conflict.
The man may become possessive and not let his partner work or see her friends. In this scenario, he projects all of his insecurity as a male onto her and does not want her to do anything that would scare him. Women, too, project their anxiety and fears onto their partners. The result is that we enslave each other through what we call love. He says, “I love you,” and beats her for going out with her friends. She says, “I love you,” and beats him down because he watches too much football or he gets food in his teeth or he makes her look bad.
Even so, most of us talk a great deal about commitment to our partners. This is the Big Lie. Why should we commit to something that does not even exist? Why should we commit to being controlled by another person because the other person has no self-worth? Both men and women are like this – we want our partners to give us self-worth, but it can never happen.

My beloved
The Nightingale-writings after a poem
In stale blank verse a subject stale
I send per post my Nightingale;
And like an honest bard, dear Wordsworth,
You'll tell me what you think, my Bird's worth.
My own opinion's briefly this--
His bill he opens not amiss;
And when he has sung a stave or so,
His breast, & some small space below,
So throbs & swells, that you might swear
No vulgar music's working there.
So far, so good; but then, 'od rot him!
There's something falls off at his bottom.
Yet, sure, no wonder it should breed,
That my Bird's Tail's a tail indeed
And makes its own inglorious harmony
Æolio crepitû, non carmine.
Elizabeth B.Browning
To die alone, with none beside thy bed
To ruffle round with sobs thy last word said
And mark with tears the pulses ebb from thee,--
Pray then alone, ' O Christ, come tenderly !
By thy forsaken Sonship in the red
Drear wine-press,--by the wilderness out-spread,--
And the lone garden where thine agony
Fell bloody from thy brow,--by all of those
Permitted desolations, comfort mine !
No earthly friend being near me, interpose
No deathly angel 'twixt my face aud thine,
But stoop Thyself to gather my life's rose,
And smile away my mortal to Divine ! '
Symbol Meaning of Feathers
Native American Pueblo Indians would pay homage to the Feathered Sun which is a symbol of the cosmos and the center of existence. Another symbol meaning of feathers also revolves around prayer, and the Pueblo use feather sticks as they dance in prayer for rain during solstice rituals.
As a Celtic symbol meaning, the feather was worn by Druids in the form of ornate feathered robes. Celtic Druids donned these robes in ceremonies to invoke the sky gods and gain knowledge of the celestial realm. It was believed that the feathered cloak along with the presence of the sky gods would allow the Druid to transcend the earthly plane and enter the ethereal realm."
